Frequently Asked Questions???

What exactly is a Strength Camp?

A 'Strength Camp' consists of a group of hard-working, dedicated - high school, college, professional athletes as well as men of all ages looking to shred pounds of fat and get extreemly fit. This group of athletes, from a variety of sports and men, meet with a highly skilled Strength & Conditioning Coach in a focused environment at a given time several days a week to... Improve Sprinting and Sport Specific Speed, Build Bigger, Leaner and Stronger Bodies and, Support One Another In Setting And Meeting Life & Performance Goals.

This is achieved using the following modalities:

Olympic Weightlifting; Power lifting; Bodybuilding; Plyometrics; Core Conditioning; Work Capacity / Muscular Endurance Circuits; Dynamic Flexability; Corrective Stretching & Exercise; Several Different Periodization Modalities; Success / Motivation Coaching; Nutrition & Lifestyle Coaching; We Also Use: Sandbag Training Techniques, Sled Dragging, Body Weight Training, Kettle Bells, Stones, Kegs, Ropes & Tires!! (All To Make You Bigger, Faster & Stronger!)

The bottom line... we give you the tools to succeed and stimulate the motivation to keep you winning and on top of the pack, guaranteed - NO EXCUSES!

How long are camp sessions?

45 - 60 mins. of High Intensity & Focused Strength & Speed Work. We hit it hard and go home!

How many times do we train a week?

The 3 - 4 times per week. Call for exact times. 727-501-6811

How many weeks is a camp?

Strength Camps are renewable on a 4 week basis. With a 12 week comittment. We have found that those athletes who quit a Strength Camp within the first 3 months generally do not receive the true benefit of the program. If you feel that you can not make a 90 day commitment to yourself and a program that GUARANTEES your success... then this may not be for you.

Where exactly do Strength Camps take place?

Fitness Boot Camps are held at Azalea Park (72nd Street off of 22nd ave north in St. Pete) in St. Petersburg FL. Specailized Strength Camps and Athlete Camps are held at City Gym (33 1 st. Ave South St. Pete) We also offer Strength Camps 'On Site' at your school or local park.........................

What if I don't live in the Tampa Bay area... can I still attend a Strength Camp?

Yes. In fact, many athletes enjoy traveling to Florida in the colder months so that they can train outdoors in the winter. Also, you may consider a stay in Florida specifically to train a great way to get focused and make the best strength gains you've ever experienced!

We are associated with many of the hotels in the area... contact us to get the best rates for your stay in town!

How do i prepare for my 1st day at a Strength Camp?

First, be mentally prepared to work harder than you can even imagine.

You will want to bring: 1.5 Liters of water, minimum; running shoes and perhaps grass shoes if you have a pair; Concent Form and Registration Form; and a small towel.

What sports are best suited for Strength Camps?

Due to the nature of the training we have found that the athletes who benefit most from strength camps participate in the following sports: Football, Baseball, Rugby, Basketball, Wrestling, Martial Arts, Soccer, Sprinters, Jumpers, Tennis, Volleyball, Olympic Weightlifting, Power lifting, Strong Man Competitions and, 'Weekend Warriors'!

How do I improve my chances at a College Scholarship?

College scouts are on the lookout for athletes who display exceptional speed and incredible strength. Our camps are designed to have your performance push all of the hot buttons that will make you a top prospect.

Also, with our strategic alliances and educational support we provide you with all of the step-by-step processes it takes to ensure that college coaches WILL see your talent and will be begging to get you onto their teams.

How fast will I see results?

It depends on how hard you are willing to work, how often you attend your scheduled strength camps, how well you treat your body (rest and nutrition) when you are not training. Bottom line is... we've designed the programs and back them with our iron clad, no questions asked, money back guarantee... all you need to do is follow our lead and you WILL get stronger and faster, in the minimum time.

I already lift weights, why do I need to join a Strength Camp?

YES! Now, let me ask you a question... if you wanted to learn how to do Algebra, you would go to school and study under a professor who has spent years and years studying the subject of Algebra and has learned how to teach it... correct?

Well the same applies with weight training and sports performance. Me and my staff design highly detailed and scientifically sound exercise programs based on over 10 years of formal and experiential knowledge.

We have traveled the globe, read hundreds of books and journals, and attended over $10,000 worth of seminars simply so that we have all the tools to make you the BEST. I promise that you can not get the type of strength programs that we provide you with in any bodybuilding magazine or in the exercise section at Borders Bookstore.

I just want to get FASTER, not stronger, can a Strength Camp help me?

What many athlete and coaches don't understand is that speed of all types begins with a foundation of relative strength. Simply put, the stronger you are the faster you will be... just look at the rock solid muscles on today's Olympic Sprinters, do you think they got arms like that from sprinting alone? Not likely.

With that being said, we spend a significant portion of our time on building speed through: Sprint Drills, Plyometrics and, Highly Explosive Speed Drills.

What happens when my sports season begins?

You will continue to strength train, but at a reduced frequency and volume. We have designed special "In-Season" Programs to meet the specific needs of our athletes.

It is essential that you do not lose all of the hard earned speed and strength during your sports season. Just imagine if NFL football players did not strength train during the in-season... they would all be fat, slow and injured come play-off time, 16 weeks after putting down the dumbbells!

I'm a coach... can my whole team join a Strength Camp?

Only if you want to become National Champs!

Everyone knows that a team that trains together, stays together... there is nothing more empowering then looking across the field at your team mate and knowing that he/she worked just as hard as you did all off-season!

Also, we at Strength Camp will 1) train your athletes at your school or place of your choice and 2) we will design and support you in implementing a 'Fundraising Combine' which proceeds go directly to funding your strength camp.

I am in already in college, should I attend a Strength Camp too?

Yes. Many of our best athletes return every winter and summer break to update their strength training program and too keep then a head of the game. While their competition is in Cancun eating stuffed peppers and soda... our athletes are maximizing their talents and planning for an All Conference season!

I am a professional athlete, should I attend a Strength Camp too?

It never ceases to amaze me how may Pro Athletes are just coasting by on their natural talents and ignoring their true potential by not training properly or giving 100% when they do!

If you are not content with simply 'making the pros' and seek to become "The Best Of The Best"... then YES. You must attend a Strength Camps too.
